To facilitate same-day surgical procedures and shorter hospital stays, a dedicated gynecologic surgery outpatient unit is located just one floor below the OB/GYN operating rooms. Staff members on this unit endeavor to provide a seamless passage for patients undergoing gynecologic surgery at Allegheny General Hospital. The preoperative phone number is 412-359-8294. Patients are asked to call between the hours of 3-5 pm prior to the day of their procedure.
