West Penn Hospital


The Western Pennsylvania Hospital is a 500-bed academic medical center that serves Pittsburgh and the surrounding five-state area.  Known throughout the region as West Penn Hospital, it is regionally and nationally recognized for excellence in obstetrics and neonatal care, and reproductive medicine.

From routine gynecologic examinations and high-risk obstetrical services to urogynecological procedures and medical and surgical treatment of gynecologic cancers, West Penn offers advanced and compassionate care to women, children and infants.   

West Penn Hospital's obstetrics program is one of the busiest in the region and its neonatal intensive care unit is one of the region's largest referral resources for sick newborns.  West Penn Hospital also is home to the patient offices for the Jones Institute at West Penn Allegheny Health System, an affiliate of the renowned Jones Institute for Reproductive Medicine of the Eastern Virginia Medical School.
