Allegheny General Hospital (AGH) has earned an international reputation for excellence and innovation in the care of patients, medical education and research. Serving Pittsburgh and the surrounding five-state area, the 724-bed academic medical center offers a wide array of medical and surgical services for women at various stages throughout their lives.
AGH provides comprehensive gynecological services, including robotic and computer assisted surgery, gynecological oncology, and urogynecology. AGH also provides both obstetrical and gynecological care at its outpatient practice locations throughout the region.
AGH provides state-of-the-art mammography services at sites throughout the region and serves as the gateway to some of the most prominent research into breast cancer treatment through studies conducted by the National Surgical Adjuvant Breast and Bowel Project. In addition, AGH offers a cardiovascular program specially designed for women to prevent and treat heart disease.
